Why this experience
First-time visitors who want rides, wildlife and a river return in one day.
Small-group standard options; Christmas large-group option up to 50. A varied, busy itinerary; less time for a sustained waterfall hike.
For the all-inclusive option, request Featherdale or Sydney Zoo at least 24 hours ahead; otherwise the operator chooses. No-lunch bookings visit Sydney Zoo. Check the Christmas large-group label before paying.
Know what you’re booking
Ride the Railway, Skyway and Cableway, with guided entry and a rainforest walk.
Visit the Three Sisters and additional lookouts selected for the day’s conditions.
The no-lunch option visits Sydney Zoo; the all-inclusive option offers a wildlife-park preference.
Standard options finish with a Parramatta River ferry to Circular Quay, rather than hotel drop-off.
Budget separately: Snacks and drinks are extra. Lunch is included only in the all-inclusive option. Additional animal encounters are not promised. The Christmas large-group option returns by coach and has no river cruise.

Three simple steps
Start with what you most want to do: ride above the rainforest, spend more time on a waterfall walk, see native animals or watch sunset. Compare group sizes and restrictions before comparing prices. A long list of inclusions is only useful if you want those stops.
Choose a date and enter every traveller’s age in the provider’s booking panel. Read the option name, meal and admission details, pickup instructions and cancellation deadline. A listing-wide minimum is a starting point; the selected option determines what you will pay and receive.
Complete your reservation with GetYourGuide and save the voucher. Follow the confirmed meeting point and arrival time, and send any dietary, group or wildlife-park requests by the operator’s deadline. Pack for the walking and weather, and plan your journey home from the stated finish point.
The journey
A guide to the experience, not a fixed timetable. The operator may change the sequence, stops or route for weather and access.
Meet at your confirmed city pickup point. The early departure is intended to reach Scenic World before the busiest part of the day; road conditions and queues can still affect the schedule.
Experience Scenic World from its railway and cable cars, then explore the rainforest with your guide. The Three Sisters lookout adds a different perspective across Jamison Valley, with time to photograph the sandstone formations.
Take a lunch break in the mountains. A restaurant meal is included only with the relevant option. Your wildlife stop then follows the selected package: Sydney Zoo or the pre-arranged all-inclusive park preference.
On standard options, trade the coach for a Parramatta River ferry and finish at Circular Quay. Plan your own onward journey to the hotel. The Christmas large-group option instead includes a coach return.

A Blue Mountains tour can mean cable cars and wildlife, a walk beneath sandstone cliffs, or a late departure that stays for sunset. The familiar photograph of the Three Sisters appears across many itineraries, but it tells you little about the rest of your day. Start with the activity you most want to spend time on. Then compare the transport, admissions and restrictions that make it possible.
The featured Anderson’s tour is a useful starting point for first-time visitors who want variety: rides, rainforest, viewpoints, wildlife and a river return on its standard options. It is a busy day. If your main aim is a sustained waterfall walk, the Coast Warriors itinerary offers a different balance, leaving out the zoo, rides and ferry.
Scenic World offers several ways to experience the forest and valley, with the Railway, Skyway, Cableway and boardwalk. It fits naturally into a varied sightseeing day, but it is not a substitute for a longer hike. Compare the actual attraction time as well as the admission: an unlimited pass does not give a guided group unlimited time to stay. Queues and the rest of the itinerary still matter.
At Wentworth Falls, the route is the key detail. A short lookout walk and a descent towards the waterfall require different amounts of effort. Coast Warriors describes an optional harder section; Adventure Tours Sydney offers walking choices within a smaller-group trip; Activity Tours Australia varies its shorter bushwalks with conditions. None of those descriptions overrides a current track closure.
Some listings use an all-inclusive title while offering more than one package. Anderson’s has both lunch and no-lunch options, with different wildlife arrangements. Diamond Tours also offers a lunch upgrade. Oz Trails includes a river cruise but makes Scenic World and Sydney Zoo optional. The lowest listing price therefore does not describe the same bundle across every tour.
Our price guide compares those differences in USD. The amounts are checked listing-wide minimums per person, not a quote for your chosen date or a promise that every advertised option starts there. Add the meals and admissions you actually want before comparing totals. Where lunch is at your own expense, a Leura village stop gives you choice, but the available time still limits how leisurely that meal can be.
The published caps vary considerably. Diamond limits its tour to 20, Adventure Tours Sydney to 15, Picture Me Sydney to 11 and FeelGood! to ten. Brighton’s stated maximum is 35. Other products describe small groups without a firm cap in the captured details, and some use larger vehicles at peak times. Compare the specific promise rather than treating the label as a fixed standard. A smaller group can be a reason to pay more, but does not guarantee an empty lookout.
Sunset tours make room for a slower Sydney morning, then use the afternoon and evening in the mountains. Wildlife Tours Australia centres its route on walking and sunset views. Picture Me Sydney includes two meals and a wildlife park. FeelGood! looks for wild kangaroos and provides a twilight spread. Expect an active day and check the return carefully: a seasonal late finish can conflict with dinner, a flight or a cruise departure.
For an entirely different evening, the Wildscape glow-worm adventure heads into the forest after dark with headlamps. This is a cave-and-walking experience, not simply a sunset photo stop. Its unnamed cave should not be confused with Wollemi’s separately managed Glow Worm Tunnel. Read the glow-worm guide to understand that distinction.
Check who can join, where the vehicle collects you and where the day ends. Several walking tours exclude younger children, and many vehicles cannot carry prams or mobility equipment. An accessible attraction does not automatically mean an accessible tour. Our family guide brings the age and equipment restrictions together so you can ask the right questions before booking.
Ferry packages usually finish at Circular Quay, while road-return and hotel-transfer tours have their own arrangements. Keep your confirmation and leave room for the last journey back to your accommodation. If you would prefer a slower day in one area, compare a guided tour with independent train travel. Either way, good shoes, suitable layers and a realistic number of stops are more useful than trying to fit every attraction into one visit.

Questions, answered
For rides, wildlife and a ferry return, compare Anderson’s, Diamond and Wine Hop And Coastal Tours. For a sustained waterfall walk, consider Coast Warriors. For a later nature-focused day, compare the sunset tours. Match the option’s inclusions and restrictions to your group.
Yes. Our displayed amounts are verified listing-wide USD starting prices per person, checked on 31 October 2026. Your selected date, ages and option determine the final quote.
No. Several include the rides, Oz Trails makes them optional, and the walking, sunset and night tours have different priorities.
Check the exact ages and restrictions. Several walking tours have minimum ages, and many vehicles cannot take prams. Our family guide compares these practical differences.
Several operators run in all weather, while others may reschedule for unsuitable conditions. A cloudy forecast does not automatically create a refund entitlement. Check the selected product’s cancellation terms before the deadline.
Some finish at Circular Quay after a ferry, others use central city road drop-offs, and selected products offer hotel return. Check the exact listing, particularly for late sunset tours.
